Room Description

Davis Room – Located in the main house and named for Joseph E. Davis, early pioneer and patriarchal brother to President Jefferson Davis. The wealthy planter, who made Anchuca his last home, died here on September 18, 1870, at the age of 87. With 12-foot ceilings, the bedroom is furnished with period antiques and the windows and bed are lavishly decorated. This suite includes a private dressing area, private bath with shower and a tub, a coffee center, mini refrigerator, and a sitting area with cable TV. (queen-sized bed)

Eliza’s Room – This bedroom can be added to the Davis Suite for an additional $86 per night. Eliza’s room is named in memory of the Wilson’s three-year-old daughter who died in 1864. This room is an extension of the Davis suite and is accessed through a private connection. This bedroom shares the Davis suite bath and is only available to guests that are occupying the Davis Room. (two twin beds)
